My paintings employ photographs, landscapes, and patterns drawn from personal and familial sources, blurring chronological boundaries to investigate contemporary memory. Working intimately with these images allows me to push against an accelerated culture of digital content and consumption. My practice centralizes the presence of the hand within digitally mediated surroundings. By embracing tactile processes alongside synthetic materials and mechanical methods, the work explores the paradoxical intimacy and detachment inherent in modern interactions, affirming human touch as vital to understanding ourselves, our surroundings, and the passage of time.

My approach generates “ghost” images suspended between mechanical precision and material experimentation. Built through collage, layering, and mark-making, my paintings embody imagery simultaneously slick and faded. Smaller canvases, submerged in dyed resin, merge pigments, inkjet prints, and painted textures into unified surfaces; larger pieces incorporate stitching and visible assembly, emphasizing fracture and reconnection. Additional layers, including compressed mesh prints beneath acrylic sheets and constellations of hardware, produce depth, subtle moirés, and visual interference. The work combines to form tangible artifacts of shifting rhythms in an increasingly mediated world.
