My process for these works involves a combination of automatism
and strategy that adheres to both an abstract and loosely
representational code. I constantly struggle to create and perfect
my own language by pulling from my day-to-day experiences
and art-historical references. The elements you see in my work
are often interpretive of architecture, landscape, the figure,
and language; these forms and symbols simultaneously stack,
break apart, and adjoin, symbolizing the complexity of their
interrelationships.
