I am obsessed with mass production, technology, and industry. Oil is derived from dinosaurs, windows from sand, and the geometric steel infrastructure of buildings from ore. My work investigates the reconciliation of these things that overwhelm and excite me. The rounded geometric forms I create seek to convey the moment in time where nature and industry intersect. Living in nature, as well as in an urban environment, has compelled me to create work that appears plastic, tactile, and machine-made with hints of my surroundings. The visual conversation between the paint and geometric forms culminates in my softly linear objects.
