For my recent paintings I collaged pages from high fashion magazines onto chaotic watercolor swirls depicting voids, cosmic events, and the unknown. Seduced by the shiny and new, yet also entranced by objects in decay, I make work that accepts the rapture of material culture in its enthralling embrace and self-destructiveness.
