James A. Lambert
In the past, I have used modularity and ergonomics to form
pictorial elements for abstract paintings; with recent works, I
am interested in making these ideas more integral to the painted
object.
The works here represent the first iteration in a project of stacked
paintings. Each arrangement arises from the activity of stacking,
spacing, and layering panels against a secondary support.
